(1) Reggie Stefaniszyn 5 3 1 9 2 (2) Jim Rzonca 1 4 4 1 5 Rzonca wins 3-2 to take the NHL championshipGame 5 notes: This see-saw series would be decided in Game 5. Reggie was fresh off a 9-1 pasting of Jim to even things up. Elvis sang "Viva Las Vegas," the whistle blew and the action began. Rzonca went up 1-0 early but Reggie hit a right defenseman shot to even it up. Rzonca worked his velodrome magic to score with the RW to go up 2-1, then hit a shot with his center for a two-goal lead. Reggie counterpunched with a long defenseman clearing attempt that went in with about 2 minutes to go. The next goal was key, but Rzonca got a rebound off a RW-C pass play to go up, and a fluke roller hit Reggie as Rzonca won the decisive Game 5 by a 5-2 tally. As the whistle blew, fellow players clapped as Frank Sinatra sang "That's Life" on the CD timer.
