Bjarne Axelsen of Denmark won the 2009 tournament, defeating his girlfriend, Anette Engel, also of Denmark, 4-0 in the finals. Taking third was Denis Maille of Montreal, QUE.

The Let's Play Hockey International Table Hockey Championships presented by Stiga USA in Las Vegas Nevada is being played at the brand new, state- of-the-art South Point Hotel & Casino, located seven minutes from the famous Las Vegas strip.

This great international table hockey event will be held in conjunction with Doug Johnson's Let's Play Hockey International Exposition, which has been held in Las Vegas since 1999.

This is an invitation to all table hockey players around the globe to join us in Las Vegas for this professional-style table hockey tournament here in the gaming capital of the world!

The Let's Play Hockey International Table Hockey Championships is a sanctioned International Table Hockey Federation WORLD TABLE HOCKEY TOUR event and falls under all their sanctioning requirements.

UPDATEThe Monday Stiga table hockey tournament will have warm ups and check in at 9:30 a.m., followed by a quick rules meeting and first pucks dropped at 10 a.m.

The plan, subject to change: everyone will play everyone in an opening round robin. Then break into 3 groups based on order of finish and play another round robin for playoff seeding. Then playoffs for everyone.

The tournament is taking place as part of the hockey expo at the SouthPoint convention center. Please go to the registration desk of the Let's Play Hockey expo and tell them you're there for the table hockey tournament.

International Table Hockey Championships will be held on Monday, Jan. 26, 2009.

This tournament features Stiga international player figures and ITHF rules. Playoff Stiga games are mounted rock-solid to banquet tables and are complete with TableHockeyPro.com deflectors and Original Suplak puck catchers for easy puck retrieval.

Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009: From noon until 4 p.m., Stiga tables will be open for free play to all expo visitors and tournament players to play some matches if they like.

Those who came to the tournament in 2005 were treated to a rare glimpse of vintage table hockey games. Las Vegas resident Jeff Mancini displayed his exquisite collection of twenty vintage NHL-endorsed games during the tourney. He has spent the past ten years painstakingly piecing together this one-of-a-kind collection of Eagle Toys and Coleco games. Mr. Mancini's games are of museum quality and those present two years ago had the pleasure of seeing this fine collection first hand. View the Exhibit page.
